GRID stands for Generally Readable Informative Documents. GRID is a free, research-based web toolkit that breaks down the science on how to produce more readable and retainable documents presented on a screen that people will actually read. It was designed with non-profits and activists in mind—because it is never more important to communicate effectively than when you are working toward social good.
GRID was created by information scientist Jamie Ramos as part of a capstone project at the University of Washington in 2021. Jamie is passionate about information science as the future of social change, with the power to influence non-profits, the public sector, and the public.
